Among all the cantilever chairs of the Bauhaus epoch, the armchair S 35, with its lightness, flexibility and comfort, casts a shadow over everything heavy and inert. In 1930, the modern lifestyle communicated by the S 35 appeared visionary; today, it is part of our mobile and individual lifestyle. With S 35, Marcel Breuer succeeded in combining all of the functions of a cantilever tubular steel armchair in a single line.
